Drunken people to be tackled from streets District's police in action.

Are you drunk and wondering on the streets or in the public places ? well better not be that is the message from district's police department. Porbandar district's police is in full action and are arresting anyone who will be found drunk wondering around in the city or villages. Police department had meeting last week with district's community leaders, politicians and other leaders about drinking problem and people making and selling alcohol in the district. Alcohol problem is growing bigger and bigger day by day so community leaders and police force decided something has to be done and very quickly before it gets any worse. In action today police have made some arrests already, man named Ramji Namidas Naran age 50 was found drunk and was arrested in city's Kharvavad area near old fish market also 2 men from Udhyognagar area Keshu Lalu Ushwala and at Ashapura road cross junction Merkhi Jesa Sutreja who is from village Dhandhusar, in Chhaya Muru Duda Keshwala was arrested near Firebrigade station. Report from Bagvadar police department says that they have also made an arrested, Bharat also known as Oghad Veja Khunti from village Bakharla while Kutiyana police have arrested Sindhi Himatlal Kasumal with 150 rupees worth of alcohol near Gandhi road in Kutiyana. Hopefully these arrests will set the examples to others who are drinking and running around the streets and in public places.
